New Skater Intake Session

Eastbourne Roller Derby would like to welcome anyone over the age of 18 to learn to skate and try the fantastic sport of roller derby for FREE!

Get fit, have fun, learn something new, make friends

During our New Skater Intake Sessions, we will teach you everything you need to know in order to skate and (eventually) play the fun, fast-paced, full-contact sport which is Roller Derby.

We welcome all genders, shapes, sizes, fitness and skill levels. Whether you have never skated, have just started learning, or are already an experienced skater, we will get you through the training and then teach you how to play the game.

If you don’t fancy playing the game, we are also looking for referees and people who don’t want to skate but who do want to be involved in a fast-growing sport by becoming a Non-Skating Official.

When is it?
Sunday 27 June 2021 from 15:00 – 16:30

Where is it?
Causeway School, Larkspur Drive, Eastbourne, BN23 8EJ

What do I need to bring?
Unfortunately, due to COVID restrictions, we cannot loan any equipment at the moment, so you will need to bring the following:

– quad skates (not inlines)
– helmet
– wrist guards
– elbow pads
– knee pads
– water
– snacks

Please arrive fifteen minutes early as you will need to get ready outside (except your skates) before you are able to enter the hall.
